I vaguely remember reading somewhere that a man presenting himself to a crown court can not be denied the right to bring an advisor and a stenographer into the court room. I can not relocate this information. Does any one know if this is possible?

Yes, you are entitled to have a McKenzie Friend if you are acting as Litigant in Person, never heard of a stenographer too but I like it, but you can get a transcript of the hearing as should be recorded.
